The recent interview with author Walter Jon Williams has recently been posted on Immortal Darkness. Williams, who penned Destiny’s Way and Ylesia, has been very gracious with his time and informed me that if anyone has any follow up questions, he will respond.

Immortal Darkness is proud to announce a new interview- this one with Star Wars artist Dave Seeley, who’s work includes the cover of Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor, Outbound Flight, and the Enemy Lines books. The questions are due in on our forum, Discussing Darkness, on January 10th.

Stover Answers In

Post of the Month

For those of you who haven’t read the newsletter (which can be found here), allow me to summarize what this is.

In this thread, each member may post 3 nominations of what they believe to be some of the best posts on each of ID’s sites. At the end of the month, that admins will look through your selections, choose their best and send them to Mizz/Zinnos who will in turn choose the best of the best. The top posts will be honored in the next issue of the Immortal Darkness Newsletter.

A couple of instructions. We realize that not everyone reads the entirety of the site which is why we’re asking for every member to participate, in order to get the full range of the site. You may nominate 3 posts throughout the month (doesn’t have to be all at one time). You may not, however, nominate one of your own posts.

Also, there are a few rules surrounding this process that must be taken into account. Violators will lose their right to participate in the contest.

1) You may not talk to the staff about their decisions in regards to what post was chosen as the winner. Nor may you ask them when the decision will be announced. Essentially, do not harrass the judges.

2) There will be no lobbying or deals for nominating posts. Members should choose posts based on the skill demonstrated, not because they may have been asked by the author.

Immortal Darkness and it’s staff would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas!!  We hope everyone out there has gotten everything they wanted today and spent plenty of time with their family and friends!  And to those of you who don’t celebrate Christmas, Happy Holidays! 

Clone Wars Episode Guides And Reviews

Immortal Darkness now has a new feature to offer its members – Clone Wars episode summaries and reviews.  During the next couple of weeks Immortal Darkness will be posting reviews and summaries of each and every Clone Wars episode for your viewing pleasure.  We’ll even have one for the movie soon.  For now we’ll probably be sticking just to this, but you never know what else we’ll start doing in the future as well.

Interview with Walter Jon Williams!

Immortal Darkness has just snagged an interview with Walter Jon Williams, author of the bestselling New Jedi Order book, Destiny’s Way. This will be a regular interview, with questions being sent in via one of the Darkness sites. Questions are due January 15th, 2009.

ID Newsletter

Immortal Darkness is proud to announce that we are doing a newsletter that will be sent out to members at the start of every month. We’ll be gathering emails of all members on our own and sending them the links to the newsletters, located on Immortal Darkness – if you do not wish to have the newsletter sent out to you, simply reply to our email stating so or drop either Zinnos or me a PM/email (via one of the sites).

The newsletter will consist of news from all Darkness sites, be it new features, new looks for the sites, ect. The first one will be put up tonight as an early Christmas present for everyone.

AD Christmas Banner Contest

Just as we did for Halloween, Approaching Darkness is now having a banner contest for Christmas! Wooooo!

Entries are due December 22nd. Requirements are that it must have some sort of Christmas theme to it, it must have NJO characters on it, and it must have “Approaching Darkness” somewhere on it.

If you win you will be given a special rank of your choice. Except for staff. Since they already have special ranks. Good luck and May The Force Be With You!
